Paul A. Smith Elementary School is beginning the process for enrolling and welcoming new kindergarten students for the 2026-2027 school year. Franklin residents having a child who will be 5 years old on or before September 30 may enroll the child in kindergarten. Please see the attached information.

The PSS Scholastic Book Fair starts Tomorrow!

Students will visit the book Fair during their regular library class. The Book Fair will also be open to families during FLEX night on Thursday, April 23rd from 3:30-5:30pm.

Teacher Appreciation Week 2026!

National Teacher Appreciation Week this year is May 4-8. Last year we collected notes of appreciation from families and students about our teachers and staff. It was such a success, we'd like to do it again. We will print out notes and give them to the designated staff member as well as post them on our socials. Submit as many as you want.

Congratulations to Mrs. Gregg's grade 4 class for having the highest attendance rate for the month of March! Mrs. Gregg's class had a 95% attendance rate for the month. Several other classes were very close, the race is on to see who will have the highest attendance rate for April. Way to go PSS!

We are excited to support the American Heart Association through our school fundraiser! During PE, students will be practicing jump roping to build strong hearts while learning the importance of physical activity and heart-healthy habits. This fundraiser helps raise awareness about heart disease and supports lifesaving research and education, Thank you for helping our students move learn, and give back!

Today PSS was visited by CourtBloom. This is an organization, based here in Franklin that has the goal of introducing lifelong activities to members of the community. The focus today was on learning how to play tennis. The PSS students had a great time and really benefited from this visit. Lots of new skills were learned!
