Good Afternoon Franklin Families,
I have been notified of 10 cases today. 1 elementary student, 7 middle school students, 1 high school student and 1 high school staff member have tested positive for Covid-19. Close contact notifications are being made.
The nurses are finalizing our Covid protocols from the guidance we received from the CDC and DHHS. I will be sharing that with you tomorrow in my update.
I also wanted to remind all of our families that masks are mandatory on all school buses per federal mandate. Please be sure that your child has a mask each morning when they board the bus.
On a personal note, I am doing well and will be out of quarantine and back in the office Friday. :)
Sincerely,
Dan LeGallo

Dear Franklin Families,
I hope you enjoyed the long weekend. Below are the positive Covid case totals at each school over the last 4 days (Saturday through Tuesday)
9 students, 7 staff at elementary school
3 students, 1 staff at middle school
3 students, 2 staff at high school
I anticipate that DHHS will be declaring an outbreak (2 clusters of 3 cases each in the school) at the elementary school and high school so I am moving all 3 schools to 6 foot masking starting tomorrow which essentially means that students and staff will need to wear masks indoors at all times unless they are eating or drinking or 6 feet away from others. (middle school is already at 6 feet). Mask breaks will be provided.
As we are seeing this uptick in cases at all 3 schools it is essential that if students are sick that they stay home from school. Please continue to screen your child/children for symptoms each morning. If your child tests positive, please inform the school nurse as quickly as possible and they will provide guidance to you.
Thank you for your continued support.

Dear Roboteers and Friends,
For 2022, Robotics Teams are starting in the Franklin Middle School.
These teams will participate in FIRST LEGO League (FLL) competitions in New Hampshire, and perhaps the world! For more info regarding NHFLL go to https://www.nhlegoleague.com/
Many different skills are needed to win an FLL competition. We need students and grownups who can do some of the following:
Build with LEGO
Invent a song, or a team yell, or team steps
Make costumes, a colorful mascot
Take pictures
Draw and paint posters, design team t-shirts
Encourage others
Program robots (don't worry, we'll show you how. It's easier than many think)
Organize teams
Talk to other people, get them involved
If you can do any of the above, or even if you don't, and you're simply curious, meet us on Tuesday, January 11th, at 5:30 pm, in the Franklin Middle School Cafeteria. If you can't make this one, we'll have other meetings, but this one is important because it's our first.
By the way, do invite others! We can start up to 4 teams right now.
Can't make it to this meeting, or have questions? 603bot@gmail.com
