FHS students at Mental Health Awareness event

In honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, Franklin proudly co-hosted a special event on May 14 alongside the Laconia and Winnisquam School Districts at Prescott Farm. The gathering focused on raising awareness for the mental health struggles experienced by our youth.

A special shoutout to Franklin High School students Paige and Kylan, who participated in a powerful, dramatic script reading of "The Kids are Not Alright"—part of the Elephant in the Room Series through the NH Theatre Project.

The performance was followed by a robust, heartfelt discussion. Parents, grandparents, and community providers (who are parents themselves) engaged deeply, sharing personal experiences, current struggles, and potential solutions to better support our kids.

Thank you to Paige, Kylan, and everyone who attended and supported this vital collaboration. Together, we are breaking the stigma and fostering a stronger, more connected community for our students.
