A Fast-Paced, Hilarious Romp Through Fairy Tales
Get ready for fairy tales with a serious case of chaos! The FHS Players will present The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon on November 5, 6, and 7 at 7:00 p.m. on the FHS Cafeteria Stage.
Written by Don Zolidis, The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon takes audiences on a wildly imaginative, fast-paced journey through the familiar—and not-so-familiar—world of Grimm fairy tales. But forget everything you think you know about happily ever after!
From princesses and princes to witches, wolves, kings, peasants, and plenty of characters who probably should have made better choices, the FHS Players bring dozens of fairy-tale characters to life in a hilarious whirlwind of storytelling. The production twists and turns through classic tales, smashing stories together, sending characters in unexpected directions, and adding a generous dose of zany humor along the way.
The cast features some amazing talent from freshmen to seniors including Hunter LaFlamme, Noah Roper, Paige McGahey, Olivia Genus, Harmony Wheeler, Kylan Fissette-Snow, Kanoa Rhea, Hayden LeBlanc, Claire Collins, Cecelia Ewers, Erin Foote, Angellin Antonelli, Eros Robidoux, Keira Luba, and Mary Genus- many playing three or more roles throughout the production. Supporting them are their production team including Ryan Foskey, Nik Prue, Elyck Robidoux, Azalea Pyle, Lillian MacDowell and Kelsey Gillespy.
The show moves at a breakneck pace, with actors jumping between characters, scenes, and stories in a theatrical roller coaster that keeps the audience guessing—and laughing. Familiar fairy tales are turned upside down, mashed together, and reimagined with a contemporary comic sensibility
At the heart of The Brothers Grimm Spectaculathon is a celebration of storytelling and the sheer joy of live theater. With rapid-fire comedy, physical humor, unexpected twists, and an ensemble of performers taking on a dizzying number of roles, the FHS Players invite audiences to leave reality behind for an evening and enter a fairy-tale world where absolutely anything can happen.
